Less than 100 Days Until Christmas 🎄: What’s the rush? 🧐
Every September I take a deep breath, as I ease out of Summer and into the Autumn months in the knowledge that this is always the lull before the ‘Christmas rush’ storm. With less than 100 days until Christmas, the energy shifts and the sense of urgency ramps up, as people start to plan what their Christmas is going to look like.
Who’s hosting? What needs fixing? Can the dining chairs survive another dinner party? Can we hide that sofa under a throw for another 6 months? Those nagging internal conversations that we all have with ourselves.
Also the Autumn/Winter season is when we spend more time at home and we want to be as cosy and as comfortable as possible.
With less than 100 days left until Christmas, NOW is the time to get in touch about that chair, sofa, chaise, headboard or whatever project has slid down the ‘To Do’ list over the Spring and Summer months.
Let’s start planning its transformation NOW, so you can rest assured that you’ll have it back in your home, looking and feeling stunning in time for Christmas.
What’s the rush?
Why am I highlighting to you that we have less than 100 days until Christmas?
Every year I’m contacted in October, November and December, by people literally begging me to squeeze in a last minute reupholstery project.
And I can’t lie, every time I have a little scream in my head: “I’ve been here all year long 😩“.
In the past, I have pushed myself over capacity and said yes to these jobs, which has meant I’ve worked every weekend during the last 2 months of the year.
Collapsing on Christmas Day with the inevitable nasty winter bug, which finally departs when Christmas is over.
Not any longer!!
Now I’m much stricter with myself and my workflow, so I can accommodate as many projects as possible without burning out before Christmas.
The importance of timing is so important if disappointment is to be avoided.
Let me run you through the process of having your furniture re-upholstered by Vintique, so you can see how easy and seamless a process it is.
The Process
Estimate
SOONER rather than later, send me some pictures (and dimensions if it’s sofa) and within 24 hrs you’ll have an estimate from me.
Once you have received your estimate and confirmed that you wish to proceed, I’ll send you an invoice for £99.
We will then arrange a video fabric meeting and this deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.
Video Call
This is the fun part.
On this call, I take the time to discuss and understand your vision, I can also help you with my own ideas if you haven’t got a plan in your mind.
The Gold Pack of Joy
Within 10 days you’ll receive a gold envelope bursting with the colour and delicious samples from prints, weaves, plains, velvets, linens (whatever you’ve requested) will arrive at your home.
My customers call it the “gold pack of joy”.
Don’t worry if you are overwhelmed by choice at this point.
We can always have another video call to finalise the winning sample, when you have whittled the selection down to a shortlist.
Stripping Back
Once you have paid your deposit, the fabric is ordered and you can either drop your furniture to me, or I can arrange for it to be collected.
Don’t worry, distance isn’t an issue as I use couriers who work all over the UK, so being local isn’t an obstacle.
Your furniture is stripped and assessed in my workshop and any issues are fixed, using traditional and modern time-honoured techniques before any fabric is applied.
It’s quite literally breathing new life into your furniture.
The Reveal
The moment you’ve been waiting for is here. You can choose to collect your transformed piece or have it delivered straight to your home.
I’ll send you a picture first (the mini reveal) so you can pay your balance and you can get a sneak peak of how it looks.
Trust me, it will always look better in your home (the GRAND REVEAL) than in my workshop.
Final Reminder
So, with less than 100 days left until Christmas, this is your 📣 that now is the perfect time to get in touch.
